Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

CD checksum and disk have been verified. System P4 -3Gig - 4Gb Memory - 160Gb Hard drive- Intel 845g MoBo - ATI all-In-Wonder 9800 Series. Clean install with full disk format.

One third (1/3) through the install (based on the progress bar) total system lockup (ie: keyboard and mouse). This is repeatable. I have tried 4 times. I then tried booting to the Live CD then trying an install through the icon on the desktop. . . same result.

The automated bug thing won't work if the OS doesn't install, so you will need to report this on launchpad by hand. – Jorge Castro Apr 25 '12 at 22:58
