I want to browse internet using the Ubuntu Live CD. I have a dial up connection (using modem). How do I do it.

You need the drivers for your modem but the wvdial and gtk dial are on the cd.If you want to connect via dial-up?


Also try disabling/removing KNetworkManager if KDE applications cannot connect using dial-up
