Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free.

Brightness level is not remembered on HP ProBook 6560 (sandybridge) with Ubuntu 12.04 beta2. Removing .pulse folder in home directory doesn't help.

I read some news about this problem and it seems to be common Ubuntu problem or bug not only on related to HP ProBook.

Any suggestions how to fix it?

The .pulse folder is related to Pulseaudio and has nothing to do with brightness. –  RolandiXor Dec 31 '12 at 4:56
