This is my first question in Ask Ubuntu and sorry for my English (it is not my native language).

I have installed Ubuntu 11.10 on my laptop and I have a problem that annoys me quite a lot. When I'm working on my laptop, and without following the same behavior (sometimes when I'm using Firefox, sometimes when I open a document, sometimes when I'm working with Eclipse...), the session is restarted on its own suddenly, so I loose all my previous work.

Has anyone experimented this situation?

Thanks in advanced.

this could be a hardware issue, memory problem etc – Ringtail Apr 1 '12 at 19:50
Try logging in on Ask Ubuntu. (It's at the top next to the search box) It's easy and fast. You can also log in using Google, Facebook, OpenID, etc... That way you will be able to comment on your questions/answers, instead of creating an answer to comment. xD – Dan May 7 '12 at 12:00

It seems to be related to this question: Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit kill session random. I had the same problem and touchpad-indicator installed. Hopefully removing it solved my problem.
