You can clean temporary files just by restarting. For performance, see here. Please try to ask only one question per "Ask Question" post. :) – Jacob Johan Edwards Sep 4 '12 at 13:04
As for your touchpad question, we're going to need more details. Please update with your hardware information (I've voted this post for closure, but if you're still around, it can be reopened). – Jacob Johan Edwards Sep 4 '12 at 13:05

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.

For temporary file cleaning, look into Ubuntu Tweak.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tualatrix/next
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak

By the way..

Welcome to Ask Ubuntu!

It is preferred if you post separate questions instead of combining your questions into one. That way, it helps the people answering your questions and also others hunting for answers to their own. Thanks! :)
