When i play mp4 with movie player or vlc the picture is red, why?

Have you tried the video on a different computer? I say this because totem and vlc use different backends so if the problem exists in both then it is possibly the file that is causing the problem. Alternatively, it could be a problem with your graphics card. – edm Mar 27 '12 at 17:04
