I couldn't really describe it in the title very well, but I seem to have a couple of unneeded KDE programs. I haven't installed KDE yet, and I don't remember installing them manually, so they seem to be just dependencies for another KDE program.

Results for "kde" in "Installed Applications"

However, I don't remember which program I installed that uses these. Is there a way to see which program I have installed that requires these as dependencies, or can I just remove them? Or are these not dependencies for another program? It's not really a huge problem, but I never use them and they kind of bug me whenever I see them in the dash.

When you remove any of the Ksoftware in the terminal it will tell you what depends on it. – Uri Herrera Mar 13 '12 at 3:23
Well, that's the problem; I don't know which program I installed that requires these dependencies. I could go around attempting to remove every app I recently installed, but I'm lazy. And I don't think anything I installed recently is Ksoftware. – TreefrogInc Mar 13 '12 at 3:29
Installing a GTK app will not pull KDE libs nor Ksoftware.. so it must've been something you installed belonging to KDE. The SOftware Center has a History section, and so does Synaptic take alook there. – Uri Herrera Mar 13 '12 at 6:36
