I downloaded Mozilla Firefox, and I made it my default browser; how do I import all my stuff I had on internet explorer?

huh? can you explain further if you had been using wine to run internet explorer or windows in a dual boot. What "stuff" are you trying to import? – fossfreedom Mar 8 '12 at 20:48

My best guess at what the OP means:

"I installed ubuntu and firefox within ubuntu. I want to import my preferences from Windows IE."

If this is not the case let me know and I'll delete my answer.

How I would go about it:
On the windows side install Firefox and follow the wizard that makes it default and imports all your IE stuff.
Set up a firefox Sync account like they describe here.
