I need to create a bootable USB in Ubuntu. The system I want to put is XP S3. It is in an ISO format. How? What software with?

Could you please update your question. What OS are you trying to install, Ubuntu or Windows ? Or are you using virtualization (KVM/virtualbox)? wubi ? – bodhi.zazen Mar 8 '12 at 18:56

You can use the 'Startup Disk Creator' which comes with Ubuntu 11.10.
Just launch it, choose the USB device, the ISO file and burn it.
Very simple.
