You mean the markdown or replace the font with another type? –  Bruno Pereira Mar 8 '12 at 14:58

Change bold font to normal –  abra Mar 8 '12 at 15:30

The code sample is written in Vala and is from: live.gnome.org/Vala/StatusIcon @abra: Please could you help us out with the exact commands you are using as I can't see a Vala syntax/stylesheet in the versions of Vim shipped by default. Am I correct in understanding, that this question is about how to make a customised VIM stylesheet—rather than the Ubuntu Font Family itself (which is just the default fixed width font here; but is being rendered with a non-default font rendering setup, and inside a non-default theme). –  sladen Mar 8 '12 at 17:39

The same code sample, but with Droid Sans Mono, then I added ~/.fonts.conf and fonts became same font weight. But it doesn't work for Ubuntu Mono font. –  abra Mar 8 '12 at 18:27

@abra Thanks for your confirmation. I've updated the title and introduction of the question to match. Perhaps you could attach the exact details of how you fixed the stylesheet in the end to help other people that find the question later: which exact file did you change, where did you download it from, and what edits did you have to make to change the rendering that GVim uses for Vala? –  sladen Mar 19 '12 at 16:43
