Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free.

I just installed Ubuntu on a Seashell Eee Pc. As of now, it "sees" wifi networks, but has continuously tries to connect (with the correct password), to no avail. Also, an Amazon Kindle Fire has a similar issue, though it may be entirely unrelated. The netbook connected to wifi fine in Windows 7. I'd be happy to provide as much information as I can to help! Thanks for any and all help!

We need more hardware information to help you, can you look at this question and then edit your question adding the information? –  Jorge Castro Mar 6 '12 at 22:33
I shall when I can. Oddly enough, after a few reboots, the wireless connected. The netbook is currently with a friend, but I will post the results when I can. If it can sometimes connect, would it still be suspected to be a hardware detection issue? –  J3RN Mar 6 '12 at 23:18
Likely just a configuration thing you can tweak but I can't tell until we know the exact model of the wireless card. –  Jorge Castro Mar 6 '12 at 23:29
