I was finally able to install ubuntu but now I am not able to see any wireless connections. I am not sure what went wrong. Also it is not finding the sound device for me. I would really appreciate your help.

Which version of Ubuntu did you install? When you installed it, did you have a wired connection to the Internet? – Kelley Mar 3 '12 at 2:28
