Recently I installed Ubuntu 11.10 in my PC. I installed too the Gnome Shell. I was using it, but today when i booted my PC it doesn't work any more; it just shows a superio bar. What should I do? I tried to reinstall it but it continues to do the same.

What is a "superio bar"? Could you post a screen shot? – psusi Feb 26 '12 at 19:26
it's the top bar, where you can find the notifications icons, hour, date etc, but the bar it's in gnome 2 style, with a menu to nautilus. – André Rezende de Souza Feb 26 '12 at 19:39

Sounds like it's going into some kind of corrupted fallback mode. Can you run gnome-shell --replace in a terminal and post the output ? – GalmWing Feb 27 '12 at 4:10
When I tried gnome-shell --replace in terminal, it's change to gnome-shell and show this in terminal: 5img.com/vimg837/623/83capturadetelaem201202.png – André Rezende de Souza Feb 27 '12 at 21:49

You can select the Graphical Environment at login. The Gnome 2 style is "Gnome Classic" option.

If you want to customize it to look and feel more like Gnome 2, take a look at those instructions.
