LibreOffice is my primary office program and has been very satisfying. I use dropbox regularly. Yesterday, I tried to open a file from the dropbox interface at the topmost system command line. I was offline, and the dropbox selection "open dropbox folder"did not open right away, but hesitated. I then opened the folder using my directory shortcut, and selected a text document to edit. At that point, I lost use of all LibreOffice. I get a brief splash screen and nothing else. At the same time, my .wine shortcuts lost their graphic interface, although they still operate. It seems that I must have set up some conflict issue and I don't have the tools to resolve it, other than a reload. Please help me troubleshoot.

And what happend after a reboot? Could you work then? Or does the problem still exist? – Jakob Feb 23 '12 at 8:13

Please edit your question to include your OS and its version number as well as the version of LibreOffice. Also, include the desktop environment are you using. – vasa1 Feb 23 '12 at 9:50
