This is a follow on question from https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/658865 and Apt Configuration problem

I've located the 40cdrom files but I can't delete them because they're read only in the trial version. I don't know how to delete them via Terminal or even how to open the Terminal!

The second solution offered was "copy the contents of filesystem.squashfs on the iso into the usb stick" - can someone please translate or explain what that means?!

The last time I used Ubuntu was about five years ago. I'm trying to install ver11.10 on an Eee pc netbook with a 16GB hard drive.
