I have a Dell XT2 which works very nicely with Ubuntu 10.10, Unity, and uTouch. It's a touch screen tablet. It was issued to me by the uTouch team for uTouch testing with Unity, so it's also recommended by the uTouch developers.

If you're just interested in having multi-touch and gesture support, I suggest looking at Apple's magic mouse, and trackpad

Wow, good products – Black Block Dec 2 '11 at 22:06

The Always Innovating TouchBook is an interesting product that you should take a look at. It is a touch screen ARM tablet/netbook. It comes preinstalled with its own Linux based operating system and supports Ubuntu, Gentoo and some other distros. It is especially interesting because the hardware, as well as the software, is open source. It is also fairly cheap to buy.

Those products aren't available today yet; you can only pre-order it seems? – JanC Oct 31 '10 at 23:45

Another options are T101MT or T91MT. My friend owns the first one and it has HDD that parks a lot.
