debconf: DbDriver "config": /var/cache/debconf/config.dat is locked by another process: Resource temporarily unavailable

This is the error message showing me when I tried sudo dpkg-reconfigure -a and when I tried sudo apt-get purge libboost-dev command its showing me

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
