I have installed Ubuntu 11.10 with the Wubi installer. When my boot menu comes up, I pick Ubuntu. While loading Ubuntu, there is a very strange noise that doesn't come from my speakers. It sounds like a long beep. What could the problem be?

This is a mobo/ cpu problem or driver error, or even bios, not ubuntu related. – DaCoder May 19 at 21:53
It could be a problem with the motherboard so check the manual from your motherboard if a long beep means something special (or edit the serial number and brand into the question and someone will find it ;)). – Rinzwind May 19 at 22:13
