My Samsung's HD has recently died so i thought i would purchase a SATA to SD adapter and then try and install Ubuntu on to the SD card. I have ran the install from both Live CD and Live USB and both times i have the same problem. After the installation the machine reboots and i get the message "Grub Rescue". For good measure I tried to install XP but this time message came up "disk error". I have checked that both Ubuntu and XP file where actually copied over on a different machine and they had.
Can any one help please?
