well..............i have a radeon HD 6470 in my laptop(inspiron N5110) and the trouble is that i cant make work my VGA properly, also there is a continuous increase in the temperature of the VGA and the Fan is always in constantly work..........i read something about the overhit in the temperature..........but honestly i really need help xD i really like ubuntu and i want use it but this is a real trouble u.u, and something else, when i install the drivers for amd cards from the amd site, later i cant start ubuntu always display some kind of error in the startup

This link worked for me:

I tried it on ubuntu 32 and 64 bits, achieving a successful installation

You start from the boot option from the installation CD, with the code "nomodeset" as described in the link.
