I want to use my hotspot functionality that is new in Ubuntu 11.10, and thus use my htpc as wireless access point.

But everytime my system's wallpaper kick's in, and I normally should have to retype my password, if I would want to continue using my system, it freezes. It stops broadcasting the hotspot, and althouh I see a purple colour, the popup to ask for my password does not come, my keyboard isn't responding. But I can move my mouse pointer.

Anyone who can help?

I tracked the issue to my network card (eth0). After a while I get these errors: DMA out of SW-IOMMU space for 99 bytes at device 0000:03:00:0

It seems to have been fixed in the kernel once, but now it is back. I do have an ssd, anyone, any thoughts?
