I have a dual monitor setup configured in twinview. I want the right monitor to be the primary monitor. For some reason the NVidia X Server settings application won't accept my settings. From what I understand I want the right monitor to have the setting "Make this the primary display for the X screnen" checked, and also set to absolute positioning and the left monitor positioning set to be "to the left of" the primary monitor. When I set it that way and click save to X configuration file and exit and go back in to the application it keeps resetting both monitors to absolute positioning. What am I doing wrong?

I have had this configuration work fine in earlier versions of Ubuntu.

I found a link which seems like it might be what I need to do but I do not have a monitors.xml file where it says I should have one.

You are right. At the time I posted it I assumed I was just doing something wrong and I didn't realize that it was a bug. It sounds like this is a bug. – Shane Wealti Jan 5 at 17:51
