When I visit webpages that have long images firefox is not rendering them correctly. It seems to be the very long pictures the cause this problem. I don't know where the breaking point is for this.

You can look at the picture here the picture is on and they sometimes remove pictures so I've uploaded a screenshot to photobucket also. As you can see in the picture chromium is rendering the picture correctly but not firefox.

I've tried deactivating all my addons without any change to the rendering.

I'm using a 100/100mbit connection via a 1gbit router and the connection is my own.

Is there a solution to this other then using chromium? Because I rather use Firefox. I have tried google but not found any answers regarding this problem. I don't have an other computer to try on.

Thankful for any help.

Welcome to Ask Ubuntu! I unfortunately cannot reproduce this issue, although I'll make a note that this post [] seems to illustrate a possible reason for the issue you are experiencing. EDIT: it seems your provided image is well within the maximum pixel height set by Firefox...hmm. – Christopher Kyle Horton Feb 4 '12 at 14:16
Thank you happy to be here! Thank you for your answer! Didn't know about that maximum pixel height but as you said the image is within that. Guess I'll have to wait and see maybe a solution will come up. Thank you anyhow :) – Christian Feb 4 '12 at 14:50
Does this happen when you scroll or always and regardless? – Jo-Erlend Schinstad Feb 4 '12 at 16:12
Sometimes the image will load and look normal but after a split second it looks like on the screenshot. Also if I scroll really fast the image do sometimes look normal but also just for a split second. I think this info should have bin in my original question sorry about that. A friend will come by with his laptop and I'll se if he has the same problem. Thank you for your interest in my problem! – Christian Feb 4 '12 at 16:55
(1) which version of firefox is this? Mine works perfectly on firefox 9.0.1 (ubuntu 11.10)? (2) Try creating a new user, see if that fixes the issue. – medigeek Feb 4 '12 at 17:12
