I have preseeded Ubuntu 14.04 using this file.

I use netboot to boot and test the Ubuntu server install.

I have 2 HDDs.

When I boot with the usb drive with the Ubuntu netboot loaded, as i need variable partitioning of the HDDs I choose Manual in the Partitioning screen.

But my install keeps looping in the Manual step no matter what i do.

I tried removing d-i partman altogether, but it didn't help.

Basically I would like to use Manual partitioning mode in the partman screen. Is this possible?

  • I removed the partman-auto entirely and I could get it working. The updated preseed.cfg is ashown eblow. Feb 7, 2015 at 2:41

I was able to get it working by removing partman-auto entirely. The updated preseed.cfg is as below.
