I have an Asus laptop with dual Intel / Nvidia graphics. I've changed the screen resolution in Nvidia settings manager, and clicked "Save to x configuration...". I can see in gedit that the file is indeed changed and saved, but when I reboot, the original xorg.conf takes its place. Any ideas as to what might fix this?

Here's the Nvidia-settings xorg.conf:

# nvidia-settings: X configuration file generated by nvidia-settings
# nvidia-settings: version 331.20 (buildd@roseapple) Mon Feb 3 15:07:22 UTC 2014
