I have a ubuntu server.(10.04)

I don't install requests module. I try pip and other methods. Usually ;

ImportError: No module named _implementation

I guess I have already setup pip 3.1. But following

$ pip -V

Then I see same problem. How to install requests module for Python 3.1 ubuntu server 10.04?

  • I really REALLY highly extremely recommend and ask that you update yourself to 14.04 where you will find less python issues (A lot less) than staying with a 4 year old version of Ubuntu. Jul 25, 2014 at 1:38
  • 14.04 is a stable, LTS version. It is true that upgrading will solve many issues.

Use PIP 3.3, not 3.1

  • wget https://bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py
  • sudo python get-pip.py
Downloading/unpacking pip
Downloading/unpacking setuptools
Installing collected packages: pip, setuptools
Successfully installed pip setuptools
Cleaning up...
