Specifications: Clevo W370ET ubuntu 13.10 32bt, nvidia 660m, with 319 nvidia drivers installed, the bus ID is PCI:01:00:0.

And after installing Bumblebee using this site. LINK I still can not run optimus, with the following error:

  • Why not installing bumblebee normally?? sudo apt-get install bbswitch-dkms bumblebee-nvidia? How to install nvidia optimus driver on ubuntu 12.10? How well do laptops with Nvidia Optimus work?

An answer to anyone also having this problem: install the nvidia-331 drivers! http://www.muktware.com/2013/12/install-nvidia-331-bumblebee-optimus-cards/18271

I'm running on Clevo W350ST/Sager NP7352, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS x64, with an Optimus Nvidia GTX 765M. It took me forever to figure this out, so hopefully this can help someone.

  • I followed this guide and it worked for me on Ubuntu 14.04. My notebook is Aspire V3-571G with nvidia GT 640M.

Unfortunately I found it somehow easier to run bumblebee in Linux Mint, so I have made the move, and used this guide. LINK
